Casa Silva is winning rave reviews and awards globally since it was re-established in 1997. This wine comes from the first coastal vineyard in the Colchagua valley south of Santiago. This proximity to the Pacific Ocean creates the perfect cool climate in which Pinot Noir thrives. Medium bodied and with really soft tannins the wine bursts with crushed raspberries, pomegranates and rich vanilla casing. The perfect accompaniment to pigeon breast, partridge or if you’re lucky enough a Grouse! In my case I had it with toad in the hole and the wine lifted the meal from a weekday supper to a special treat!
